The Armory’s general policy on holding major invitationals during or shortly after large snow storms has always been “The Show Must Go On”.  As long as the local roads and major highways are open and safe we feel the meet should take place.

So with that in mind the 24^th Annual US Army Hispanic Games will be held as scheduled both Friday and Saturday.

Due to the Nor’easter that is affecting so many people this week we will be allowing some schools to move their entries from Friday to Saturday’s events.

The only schools that are eligible for this move are schools who are closed on Friday and who cannot attend at all on Friday.

If this is the case for you and you want to move your entries to Saturday, please note the below procedures.

Also note that Saturday's time schedule will be in flux as we will have additions to the original entry as well as some teams that can't come at all.  We will run up to 30 mins ahead of schedule.

We are accepting day of entries for relays for any teams that did not register for the meet.  Some other meets have been canceled so hopefully this helps you out.  Teams must be a member of their state associations and must have competed at The Armory either this year or last year.  An entry fee of $30 per relay will be charged.  Day of registrations will be done at packet pickup in the theater on the first floor.

1)    Oval Events (1 Mile, 1500, all relays)

a.     You do not need to do anything.  Since we seed these events with relay cards and stickers you simply use those cards and stickers to enter oval events on Saturday. 

2)    55m Dash & Hurdles and ALL field events

a.     You must email [email protected] which athletes you want to move to Saturday’s varsity events by 12 noon on Friday.  No seeds are needed.  We will not accept any of these changes on Saturday.

b.     They should be listed like this:

                                               i.     John Smith – 55m  - Novice to Varsity, LJ sophomore to varsity

                                             ii.     Jane Smith – Long Jump – Freshman to Varsity

                                            iii.     Please list them in alphabetical order

3)    What happens at the meet on Saturday?

a.     Procedures will be the same as usual. 

b.     All oval events will check in with stickers and cards

c.     All Field Events and 55m and hurdles will check in at the event as they are already seeded.

d.     There will be no changes accepted on Saturday.  All changes must be emailed by Friday at noon.
